Meet Mrs. White...
Welcome to Mrs. White's 6th Grade Reading Class!!
I am so excited for a wonderful school year! We will be learning lots of new reading techniques and perfecting our existing skills. This is my 28th year teaching at West Elementary! I have taught both 2nd and 6th grade. I love 6th-grade reading because I get to share my passion for reading with all my students, as well as prepare them for the transition to middle school! BE ready to read.
I grew up in Cullman City Schools where I attended West Elementary and graduated from Cullman High School. Go Bearcats! It was during my time as a student at West Elementary that I discovered my passion and desire to become an educator.
Now, I am married to Philip White, and we have two children Oakleigh and Jacob. Oakleigh is a senior at Troy University studying Communication and Public Relations. Jacob is a freshman at Wallace State studying Agri-Science. Outside of school, I love spending time with my family, friends, and volunteering at my church, Northbrook Baptist Church. In my spare time, you can find me reading, especially Harry Potter, and enjoying our family farm.
