To implement steps to improve the reading proficiency of public-school kindergarten to third grade students and ensure that those students are able to read at or above grade level by the end of the third grade by monitoring the progression of each student from one grade to another, in part, by his or her proficiency in reading.​

The event will start at 10:15 and conclude at 11:15, with car line beginning at 11:20. 

For afternoon pickup, there will only be a dismissal line on Rosemont, starting at 11:20.

Here’s the plan for the grade-level locations:

- 5th grade: Open field nearest Nesmith Park

- 4th grade: The football field and stands

- 3rd grade: The area under the trees

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We hope you enjoy the day with your student! You are welcome to park along 3rd Street and in other designated areas outlined on the map. Feel free to bring blankets and lawn chairs for your comfort. We encourage you to enjoy this time with your student and their friends. However, we kindly ask that you respect the space of others and refrain from interrupting their family time by engaging in "play time."

If you would like your child to leave with you at the end of the event, please check them out with their teachers from the designated areas. The person signing them out must be listed in PowerSchool under the school pickup permissions.

Chocolate sale forms will be sent home on Monday, September 14th. The funds raised will help our PTA provide additional resources for our school and students throughout the year. Please consider participating!

The sale will take place from September 14th to October 5th. Any student who sells 2 boxes will have the opportunity to participate in a water balloon extravaganza, where they can throw water balloons at Dr. Shannon. Additionally, students who sell 5 or more boxes will receive an extra-level prize.

We will recognize the top-selling boy and girl in each grade with a gift card. There will also be a reward for the top-selling class in each grade with a special treat. Thank you for your support!
